This video describes how I control aphids on fruit trees. There are a number of techniques for doing this, but what I show in this video is what works for me.

I have a cherry tree, a plum tree, and an apple tree, and all have been affected by aphids over the years. My technique for controlling aphids is to use a band of tree grease on the trunk to stop ants climbing the tree. For younger trees, I also wash off the aphids using a dishwashing liquid diluted in water.
