Recently, I discovered that Staub Rice Cocotte can do this effortlessly using the stove top. This petite French cast iron cocotte is perfect for cooking small portion of soup, sauce and is the perfect rice cooker. I'm using the 12cm round Staub Cocotte Gohan which is suitable for a small family and serves 3-4 people. Long gone are the days of overcooked, sticky or even gummy rice.
