How to Craft a Duct Tape Messenger Bag

Learn how to craft a DIY messenger bag using Duck Tape® brand duct tape in this easy craft tutorial from DIY and lifestyle YouTuber LaurDIY. This messenger bag was made using a marble peacock printed duct tape and a bright color theme, but with hundreds of colors and prints available, you can substitute these tapes with any style you choose.

INSTRUCTIONS
(00:30) Start with a duct tape fabric that's twice as long as I want my bag to be and fold it in half to make the first closed edge of the pocket.
(00:39) Next, using a strip that's about the same length as the side edge, close it up just by folding the tape half on the back and half on the front side so there's three closed edges.
(00:47) Now to make the fringe, start by overlapping two strips together and then making it double-sided. Trim off any uneven edges and make this section the same length or a bit longer than the width of the bag.
(01:03) Then cut quarter inch strips all the way across the section, making sure not to cut all the way up to the top.
(01:15) With all your strips of fringe, use a long piece of tape on each one to secure them down starting with the bottom fringe and layering them until you get to the top of the bag.
(01:26) Finally to make the strap, make a super long double-sided strip and use smaller pieces of duct tape to secure it on the inside.
