Description from the creator

Having a copyright notice on your website will help let the world know that your content is yours and is legally protected.

Creating a copyright notice is easy.

There are four parts:

1. The word copyright and/or the copyright symbol
2. The date your work was created (years only)
3. Your name (company name or individual name)
4. What rights you’re reserving

Note that while you aren’t required to register your copyright in the United States, it’s highly recommended that you do. If you ever need to defend your copyright against infringement and take an infringer to court, you’ll need to have your copyright registered before you can bring a lawsuit.
