Water Ionizers tend to get mineral build up on the water ionization plates when they are consistently used to only produce alkaline water over extended periods of time without routine cleaning. This can result in the water ionizer no longer producing a strong negative ORP, or sometimes even having a difficult time producing a desired pH.
