How to Develop a Personal Style Without Spending a Fortune ~ The Dress Up Mom Reads Cheap Chic

Today, I'm talking about a book that I came across and really love. I've been hearing about this book over the past year on some blogs that I read, and it was also mentioned in the Wall Street Journal. I finally bought a copy and was surprised to see that it was originally published 40 years ago! It is called Cheap Chic, and the main question that the book helps people to answer is, who am I & how do I want the world to perceive me? It talks about lots of the concepts that I personally believe and share with you in my videos. For example, finding the right silhouette for your body type, making sure your clothes fit properly, less is more, and incorporating vintage & resale items into your wardrobe. It made me realize that developing a personal style without spending a fortune really is a timeless idea. The book is pretty much a reprint with a new forward from Tim Gunn, so you'll be entertained seeing the 70's fashion icons. It also has some cool sections about shops around the world and incorporating ethnic fashion pieces into your wardrobe. I encourage you to check it out. A fun addition to your summer reading list.
