How to Dispose of Cooking Oil

Disposing of cooking oil down the sink can lead to clogged drains. The good news is that disposing of your cooking oil correctly is actually quite easy.

Oil used for deep frying may be used several times if you follow the correct guidelines. In this video though, we will look at what to do with your cooking oil when it can no longer be used. If you do have used oil in the kitchen the important thing is to resist the temptation to just wash the excess down your kitchen sink.

Whichever oil you use for cooking all you need to do is let it cool before wiping with paper towels or pouring into a seal-able container. You can then place in the garbage for safe disposal.
