Key Steps for Performing a Buoyancy Check:

1. Switch from snorkel to regulator to prepare for the check.
2. Fully deflate your BCD to ensure minimal air is present.
3. Take a normal breath and hold it.
4. You should float at eye level at the surface with no or minimal air in the BCD.
5. If you were to exhale, you should be able to sink below the surface.
