How to dot paint a laser cut wood box

In this video I’m going to show you how to take wood laser cut hexagon boxes and turn them into dotted pieces of art. These boxes are intricately cut with a design that is perfect for dotting. This is a beginner/intermediate level project that only requires 4 different paints, a few tools, and literally 2 dot sizes. It’s deceptively easy, and for such an easy project I think the finished piece looks extra classy and elegant. They make a perfect handmade gift and if you sell your work at art festivals, these get a lot of attention. Plus, they take no time at all to dot.

In this video I’ll introduce you to DecoArt’s Americana Gel wood stains. I’ll talk about the classiness of a limited palette, the glory of silicone tools and how adding expensive chocolate can take this gift to the next level.
