Description from the creator

Stop struggling to draw your sword and learn the 15 essential points! In this video several of the "Hidden Points" of drawing the Japanese Sword are demonstrated Roger Wehrhahn. Wehrhahn, Sensei explains in detail 4 of the essential points necessary for a safe, quick draw!
In the first two points he emphasizes the importance of the right hand grip and keeping the elbows close to the body. The next two points show the left hand is actively involved anytime the sword is moving in or out of the saya. The left hand should not only be moving the saya off the sword but neutralizing it at the same time.
The entire video, Secrets of Japanese Swordsmanship "The Hidden Movements" video covers all 25 points of the draw and attack and also breaks down all of the 5 essential movements, the nukitsuke, furikaburi, kiritsuke, chiburi and noto using the same simple point by point technique system!
