How To Drill Holes in Granite Countertops For Tapcon Screws

In this video we show you how to drill a hole into granite countertops so you can use a Tapcon anchor screw to fasten the cabinet panel to the side of the granite countertop.

How to drill into granite stone

We'll show you which granite drilling tools, and which granite drill bit you'll need. Making your granite drill hole will be impossible without the correct drill bit. A regular drill bit will not drill through granite, nor will a cement and brick drill bit, you must use a specific Tile & Stone drill bit, and make sure the package specifically states that it will drill through granite countertops.

Using the hole saw, place the drill perpendicular to the surface and start drilling in granite slowly. After speeding up as the hole progresses, keep it straight and clean.
