Description from the creator

Hi Everyone!

Drying flowers from a bouquet is a great way to preserve the memory of a special day. This video is an updated and improved video over my original How to Dry Roses video I made over a year ago. I’m using the same preservation method which is not only super simple. It doesn’t even require any equipment. The trick is in the technique.

The big take aways are that you want to dry your flowers upside down in a dry, cool area with plenty of air flow and no direct heat or sunlight. The drying process will take 2-3 weeks.

Often times I will clip the bottom of my rose stems into a magnetic refrigerator magnet and leave it hanging on my refrigerator for a week or two. You could also tie a string and hang it upside down. Regardless of the suspension method you choose, make sure nothing is smashing the petals and it has plenty of dry air around it to dry out in.

The method of drying one flower at a time is great for roses, which are large, dense flowers and hold a lot of moisture in them. For smaller, less moist flowers such as lavender, large bunches can be dried at once using the same method. You’ll need to let your flower dry for at least a full week, but letting it go for two or three is even better, just to be sure.

The results are beautiful, colorful, dried flowers and a great way to preserve a bouquet.
