How to Dye Pasta - Rainbow Pasta

Learn how to dye pasta, 🌈 rainbow pasta! Follow these simple steps and you will have fun messy play that the kids will LOVE.

Supplies:
Spaghetti, oil, food coloring, 7 medium plastic bags

Directions:
1. Cook spaghetti and rinse in cold water.
2. In a large bowl mix spaghetti and oil.
3. Add 2 teaspoons of food coloring to each bag (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet).
4. Divide the spaghetti between the bags and shake until the spaghetti is evenly coated in food coloring.
5. Let the spaghetti sit in the bags for 2-3 hours.
6. Put the rainbow spaghetti in a bin along with toys and kid-safe scissors.

Note: There should be no color transfer from the spaghetti to little hands, if there is it probably needs to sit longer in the bags. Another thing you can do to prevent color transfer is run the colored spaghetti until cool water and re-coat with oil. 😊 Enjoy!
