Hello Youtube World,

Thank you for watching my first video. If you have any questions feel free to post a comment below. Subscribe for more!

*The results I got were dark purple in this video. LOOKING BACK, I would bleach my hair a second time for the results to be a lighter purple. And I also did not tone my hair in the video. I would suggest you tone it. I am not a professional! Learn from my mistakes :)

IMPORTANT FACTS
-Coconut oil will make it less damaging when using bleach
-You do not need developer with Pravana. Use it right out of the tub.
-Use gloves and vaseline to protect skin. Newspaper to protect floors.
-Nail polisher will remove the stains on surfaces.
-Dry shampoo will be your best friend.
-I suggest adding WHITE CONDITIONER or shampoo to dilute the pravana dye if you prefer a lighter purple.
(I did not add white conditioner to it when I dyed it in this video. The color I got was a dark/medium purple in some lighting. And brighter purple in the sunlight.)

Directions
1. Comb through hair until it is tangled free.
(Tangled hair will cause uneven application of dye)
2. Melt coconut oil and apply to hair. Leave it in for atleast one hour. The longer the better.
(Coconut oil does not have any effect on the bleach because bleach is a strong chemical that will bleach through oils. The oil I used was Trader Joes coconut oil. I found that to be the cheapest organic coconut oil.)
3. Mix 30 volume developer with bleach powder until it is lump free.
(I used 2 ounces of bleach powder with 4 ounces of developer for my whole head)
3. Apply bleach to cover head. Work quickly and carefully to achieve an even color at the end. Keep in mind that where you start the process will be slightly lighter then where you end. The roots tend to dye faster. I left mine on for about an hour.
TIP: Brushing small sections of hair right before you apply it will make the bleach go on more evenly.
4. Wash hair with clarifying shampoo until it is clean. Do not use conditioner.
(TONE your hair with a toner. I did not, but highly recommend doing so after you bleach it. Learn from my mistakes! :)
5. Towel dry until it is 80% dry. Apply Pravana on slighty damp hair.
(Dilute Pravana dye with WHITE conditioner since its so pigmented Use gloves and vaseline to protect skin. Lay everything with newspaper because the Pravana will stain everything.)
TIP: Nail polish remover will remove purple stains if soap and water doesn't.
(Pravana does not need developer added with it. You use it right out the tub, and you apply it to pre-shampooed, slightly, damp hair. The dye is highly pigmented and the wet hair will make it easier to apply, and that is how you apply dyes such as Pravana)
6. Leave it on for about an hour.
7. Wash with shampoo until all the dye is out of your hair. The water should run a light purple after the dye is gone, and apply conditioner at this point.
(The conditioner will lock and close your hair follicles making the water run clear.)
