How To Eat Kohlrabi
ChannelChristopher CameronDescription from the creator
Showing how easy it is to prepare and eat raw Kohlrabi. If you have a particular way of eating it post it in the comments section below.
The name comes from the German Kohl ("cabbage") plus Rübe ~ Rabi (Swiss German variant) ("turnip"), because the swollen stem resembles the latter, hence its Austrian name Kohlrübe. Kohlrabi is a very commonly eaten vegetable in German speaking countries.
In the southern part of India, Kohlrabi is also used extensively. Edible preparations are made with both the stem and the leaves. One commonly used variety grows without a swollen stem, having just leaves and a very thin stem, and is called Haakh.
