This video details the steps required to clean a typical Biodiesel Dry Wash Resin Tower that utilizes Ion Exchange Resin such as Purolite, Amberlite, or Thermax Ion Exchange Resin.

When Ion Exchange Resin is used to dry wash Biodiesel, occasionally it is required to flush and clean the resin beds. This video details the proper way to do this procedure.

Steps Required:
Flush the resin bed 5 times with Methanol
Test for soap and methanol purity
When done, drain methanol and allow to dry
Re-initiate resin (load Ion Exchange Resin Bed properly) and place back into service
