A quick tutorial explaining how to get a fully functioning version of Pictochat running on the 3DS. Works on any 3DS model including the new 3DS and new 3DS XL. In this tutorial I used an R4i Gold 3DS Flashcard but other 3DS flashcards may work, I have just not tested them.
