You want to get to know someone, not ask rapid fire questions, one right after the other, so it sounds like a job interview. Instead, ask a question, really listen to the answer, and then comment on what he/she just said. And remember, don't agree with every single thing. That makes you sound over-anxious and too eager to please. It's OK to disagree, and it's OK not to share all the same interests. The key is to listen. That way, you have more to talk about the next time you see this person.
