How To Grow Bigger Emerald Cedars with Miracle Gro Evergreen Fertilizer Spikes

I wanted to make my Emerald Cedars grow bigger, decided to see if this will make them grow bigger?
On May 20 2016, tried Miracle Gro Evergreen Fertilizer Spikes from Scotts Canada, Product of U.S.A, package of 12 spikes, 1.36 kg, 3 lb package, purchased for $10.48 at Home Depot in Canada.
My drip line on my emerald cedars were less than 2 ft so I placed 1 spike 2ft from the center of the truck for some trees, and to experiment, I placed some at the drip line, 6 inches from truck. I will check back in 5 months to see if Miracle-Gro worked.
