How to Harvest - Lettuce Seed
ChannelAcresOfReedDescription from the creator
How to Grow and Save Lettuce Seed
It is very hard not to grow lettuce seed. Just leave the lettuce alone for a few weeks and it will bolt and put out a shoot with flowers. Once they pollinate, they will close up and form arrowhead looking pods. Wait for the pods to start to open up. You will see soft white cottony stuff at the top. Pull off the head and gently rub between two fingers to release the seeds from the inside. Let them dry and store for next year.
We hope this was a blessing to someone!
