How to Inflate a Bicycle Tire

This is how to inflate a road bike tire. I'm demonstrating using a Scattante road bike. This bicycle has presta valves. A presta vale is most common on road bikes and high-end mountain bikes as well. Also be sure to check the maximum PSI that is written on the sidewall of the bicycle tire. Exceeding the maximum PSI will cause the tire to explode and can cause hearing damage, eye damage and possible other damage too. I recommend a bicycle pump with a built-in tire pressure gauge. I'm using the Team Hurricane floor pump from PerformanceBike.com. I've owned it for many years and it has not failed me yet!
