To insert a Text Box in a Google Doc, click the 'insert' menu, then choose the 'drawing' option. Then click the text box icon in the drawing editor. Drag the outline of your text box and type content into the text box. You might like to adjust the weight of the text box outline. Then click save and close and the textbox will now appear in your Google document.
