### **Step-by-Step Installation Process:**

1. **Measure the Opening** – Take accurate horizontal and vertical measurements of your closet space.
2. **Purchase Your Doors** – Bring your measurements to Lowe’s or Home Depot and choose your preferred style and finish.
3. **Remove Old Hardware** – Take out old slider guides, tracks, and any leftover parts from previous doors.
4. **Install Bottom Track** – Measure and cut the bottom track to the exact length using a hacksaw.
5. **Secure Bottom Track** – Drill pilot holes, then screw it into place using a cordless drill with a Phillips head driver.
6. **Install Top Track** – Repeat the same process for the overhead track.
7. **Attach Wheels to Doors** – If the doors don’t already have wheels installed, attach them according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
8. **Mount the Doors** – Insert the top portion of the door into the upper track first, then swing the bottom in and place it into the bottom track.
9. **Install Handle Inserts** – Most doors come with white plastic inserts, but you can upgrade to brass or silver for a more polished look.

### **Tools & Materials You’ll Need:**

* Sliding closet door kit (with top and bottom tracks)
* Hacksaw (for cutting tracks to length)
* Cordless drill with Phillips head driver bit
* Tape measure
* Pencil for marking cuts and holes
* Replacement handle inserts (optional upgrade)

### **Pro Tips for a Smooth Install:**

💡 Double-check your measurements before cutting the tracks to avoid gaps.
💡 Use a level to ensure your tracks are perfectly aligned—crooked tracks cause poor sliding performance.
💡 Lubricate the wheel assemblies for smoother operation and reduced wear.
💡 Upgrade your handle inserts for a stylish, finished look.
