Description from the creator

A path is an integral component to the look and appeal of a garden, serving as a great practical addition that winds past flowerbeds and connects your home with patios, sheds, or decking. Learn how to lay a garden path into an existing lawn using three popular materials:

- Gravel Path: A quick, low-maintenance, and attractive natural-looking option.
- Paving Slabs: Ideal for heavy traffic areas, offering creative options with various sizes, shapes, and materials.
- Block Paving: Provides an opportunity to use bricks of different colours and styles for a customised look.

Before you start, careful planning is essential.

- Plan Position & Materials: Think about the path's position in the garden, the specific materials needed, and the type of soil you'll be digging into.
- Sub-Base Depth: If your ground is prone to waterlogging, be prepared to increase the depth of your sub-base layer.
- Digging & Excavation: Dig out the path area to the necessary depth for your chosen material (gravel, slabs, or blocks).
- Laying the Sub-Base: Create and compact the sub-base layer to ensure a stable foundation.
