How to Distress Furniture with Three Colors:
Step 1) Apply 1 coat of paint to your piece and let it dry overnight
Step 2) Apply a second coat in a different color and let it dry for ~20 minutes
Step 3) Use a damp, lint-free rag to wet distress some of the top color to reveal the bottom coat of paint
Step 4) Let this dry completely (1-2 hours)
Step 5) Apply a third coat in a third color and let it dry for ~20 minutes
Step 6) Use a damp, lint-free rag to wet distress the third coat of paint. Use varying amounts of pressure so that some of the second color shows through as well as the first
