Description from the creator

I thought I'd do a quick run-through of how we all could benefit from making our own saline at home. Shoutout to VapnJunkie for pointing out the obvious in my last Saline video.

Measurements:
1 Cup Distilled Water (8oz / 236.5ml)
1/2 Teaspoon Natural Sea Salt (2.5 grams)
Makes roughly 236ml of Saline (Give or take varying by evaporation)

Using Saline in Eliquid serves two purposes:
1. Preservation / Prolonging Shelf Life
2. Flavor Enhancement / Authenticator

As it turns out, Storing Saline in plastic is a bad idea.

Important to note:
Saline can also create rust on some forms of SS certain types of wire we use. (ie 316L) You should not worry about the use of Saline in your eliquid if you vape out of a stainless steel tank made from 304SS. Saline has not been shown to rust 304 SS as it is also comprised of no more than 0.8% carbon.

The "grade" of stainless steel refers to its quality, durability and temperature resistance. The numbers (18/8, 18/10, etc.) are the composition of the stainless steel and refer to the amount of chromium and nickel in the product.

304 stainless steel has a high resistance to rust. It withstands corrosion from the most oxidizing acids and is often used for kitchen and food applications. This is why 304 SS is so popular with vape gear manufacturers.

Having said that, Saline in your Eliquid shouldn't worry you unless you're using a weaker grade stainless steel tank/rda or wire.

Thank you for tuning in to another SteamRoom video.
