You'll Need:
Jar to hold the memories - I went to the thrift store and bought this glass straw holder (I think) for $2.
Post Cards or Sticky Labels
Scissors
Hole Punch
Marker
Pen
Clear Packing Tape
Paper cut up into strips for everyone to fill out their memory. (I used different colors to make it look better)

Steps:
1. Begin by cutting your post card in half.
2. Write 2017 on the note card with your marker
3. Then Cut off a strip of tape that is long enough to rap around the jar.
4. Put your note card in the center of the tape and then attach it to your jar.
5. Cut about 30-40 strips of paper so they are approximately 2" x 3"
6. Use the hole punch and punch the corner of the paper
7. Now cut a long piece of twine and put one of the ends through the hole in the paper.
8. Wrap the twine around the jar and tie off the ends. Not too tight because you might need to add more paper later on in the year. You're done!

What to do with it:
Start this jar on January 1st, then anytime you have a memorable moment you want to remember, add it to the jar. Then on December 31st, while you're waiting for midnight.....begin to open them! Enjoy all the moments with your family while you wait for the new year!

Memories to Add:
Special Moments
"LOL" Moments
Beautiful things you see
Accomplished Goals
Surprise Gifts
Firsts (kids walking, 1st time snowboarding, hiking, etc.)
Funny things kids say
