Description from the creator

This tutorial shows you the steps to make a paper mache bowl using another bowl as your armature. (You cover your bowl in plastic then cover it with paper mache). You need: Paper mache paste, paper torn into strips, a bowl, a plastic bag or sheet of plastic, and some tape. If you want to paint it you need acrylic paint and some brushes. These bowls are functional, you can use them to put things in, HOWEVER, don't put anything wet or moist in them. No cereal with milk for example. Here are links to the paper mache paste recipe youtube.com/watch?v=ba2ePeEiF2E, how to tear paper into strips youtube.com/watch?v=VUQWpiISMpM, and the basics of paper mache youtube.com/watch?v=lutu8T5-xs0. Some lesson ideas are to paint these in the style of your favorite artist, cut them into your favorite flower, use colored paper instead of newspaper, design your own set of bowls, and have fun with these! Post images of your bowls on our Facebook page facebook.com/otterstudio.
