Description from the creator

Today we'll be making a simple arrow for use in PVC bows. The arrow is inexpensive and fairly quick to make and good for backyard shooting. While you could use these arrows in non-PVC bows, I suggest not using them in compounds as only the most perfect or heavy of wood arrows will tolerate the extreme acceleration of the newer compound bows.

That said, these are arrows that can be made almost entirely of things found in a hardware store. The only exception is the spent round I use as a small game or target blunt, but that could be replaced with most any point. Just sharpening the end would suffice for most targets.

In this part we'll go over supplies, selecting and straightening the wood dowel and cutting the nock.
