How to Make a Two Tone Modern Wooden Wall Clock

When I decided I'd rather use up my scrap wood instead of moving it after we sold our house, I looked for some fun ideas that would help decorate our new house once we get moved in. One thing I wanted was a simple, but modern piece I could hang on the wall as a nice focal point.

What's more perfect than a simple, modern, wooden two tone wall clock?? Functional and decorative. I mean, anything with two functions is a win in my book, amiright? haha

This wall clock was simple to make and the two tone look with walnut and hickory really gives it just enough wow factor ;) Use any wood combination you wish OR just simply stain your boards to give the two tone look instead of using two different species.
