Description from the creator

-Note: Before making the tail, stretch out your hands. The repetitive work can cause cramping.-

Ever wanted to make a tail but can't afford the fur? Don't own a sewing machine? Don't have enough money to buy a tail? Then make one out of yarn! Yarn is cheap and easy to get. Because of how a yarn tail is made, it is very soft, and very waggy and fun!

I apologize for there being no sound. I couldn't find a short-yet-good enough song for the video, haha.

-FAQ-

"How long does it take to make these?"
Depends on the size. You can make a small stub tail in 2 hours, but a longer and thicker tail could take up a lot of time; between 2-7 days, also depending on how many breaks you need to take.

"How much yarn is used?"
A LOT. If you're going to make an especially big tail, I recommend stocking up on the colors you want. Get the big rolls, unless you don't plan using a lot of one color.

"Do you sell these? How much are they?"
Yup, I indeed make and sell yarn tails as a hobby. I sell them for $10 USD every 6 inches ($20 each foot), +$10 for shipping ($20 for shipping internationally). That would mean that if you got a tail that was 3 feet long and you wanted it shipped to NYC, it would cost $70, including the shipping.

"Do you give away free tails? Do you take art trades? DA points?"
No, no, and no. These tails are WAY too much work to just give out willy-nilly. I understand you may be as broke as I am, but I'm really dependent on money at the moment and I cannot afford to give things I work hard on away.

"Have you figured out a hook technique?"
Yup! Instead of spending more money on hard-to-find good hooks, I instead turned one of the top parts of the braid into a belt loop! How I did so was I just didn't add it to the twisting of the braid and let it get just big enough to fit a thick belt. It's actually experimental, but it's worth a shot (and much cheaper).

"What's the towel for?"
It's to make the brushing easier. I recommend using an old rag though, because the brush will tear at it. This is also why I do not use the brush on my pants. I've ruined a couple pairs of pants by doing this :c
