How to Make an Ad in Word

Use a theme as the basis.
By far the easiest way to create a print ad is to use a theme as your basis.

1. You won’t find anything searching for “advertisement”, but there are many flyers.
Search “flyer” as you’re creating a new document.
Hit File at the top-left and New to get to this menu.

2. Many of the themes have images in the Header.
Double-click the header or right-click then Edit Header.
Press Ctrl+A to select everything in the header and hit the Delete key on the keyboard.

3. Now you can go to the Design tab and click Page Color and either change the color
or click Fill Effects for more options like inserting your own Image as the background.
