Description from the creator

If you are planning to make a colorful birthday cake for your kid's birthday party, the very hungry Caterpillar Cupcake Pops will probably be the best choice for you. In this Pottery Barn Kids video, professional cook and founder of onefamilyonemeal.com, Amanda Hass demonstrates how to make colorful Caterpillar Cupcake Pops to win the hearts of the kids around.

The recipe for making Caterpillar Cupcake Pops is quite easy. Amanda takes a 13x9 inches cake and mashes it in a bowl. She then adds half a cup of homemade cream cheese frosting and mixes it thoroughly in order to mould it in the desired shapes. When the mixture starts sticking together, she puts the bowl in the refrigerator for couple of hours, allowing it to set.

After chilling the mixture, she shapes it in different sizes with the help of a small ice cream scoop and a large ice scoop. She rounds the balls with her hands and refrigerates them for a few hours. In the meantime, she melts the red and green candy melts in a microwave for 30 seconds and gives them a stir to mix evenly. She dips a lollipop stick into the green candy melt, followed by the small cupcake pop. She does the same with the rest of the cupcake pops and covers it with sprinkles. She then places the big cupcake pop on a lollipop stick and dips it in red candy melt. She places two black and white candy eyeballs on the face of the caterpillar and secures two antennas, which are nothing but fruit sticks.

She places all cupcake pops on a green Styrofoam in the shape of a caterpillar. The colorful Caterpillar Cupcake Pops are absolutely ready.
