How To Make Custom Orthotic Insoles

A few months ago I purchased a pair of shoes where the left pair was a little tighter than the right pair. Since shoes generally conform to the shape of the feet, I figured they would stretch and become ok. Of course after a few hours wearing them, I began feeling a tearing pain in the upper portion of the arch in my left foot.

The Dr. recommended I purchase insoles to wear but the insoles produced issues of their own as they over corrected the medial portion of the arch since they're designed for plantar fasciitis. I tried several different insoles, some worse than others. While my foot appears to be healing (fingers crossed), I decided to make custom inserts anyway.
