How To Make DETROIT Style Pizza Sauce - Recipe

Detroit Style Pizza Sauce Recipe
Welcome Friends! If you've been watching our pizza of the week recipe series you'll know that I mostly use just crushed Tomatoes instead of using pizza sauce but there are a couple kinds of pizzas where pizza sauce is necessary. One of them is the Detroit deep-dish pizza recipe.

Ingredients:
796 mL (28 oz.) can crushed tomato
398 mL can whole tomatoes
5 mL (1 tsp) dried oregano
5 mL (1 tsp) dried basil
2 mL (½ tsp) salt
5 mL (1 tsp) sugar
5 mL (1 tsp) granulated garlic
15 mL (1Tbsp) onion powder
2 mL (½ tsp) pepper
5 mL (1 tsp) chili flakes
Fresh chopped basil

Method:
Mix everything in a pot and simmer for 15-20 minutes.
