How to make paper look old | DIY Aging Paper

Ever wanted to make a treasure map? Learn how to make paper look old and distressed in this DIY aging paper tutorial!

Note: When the paper has dried using the heat gun, turn off the heat gun and let the paper cool. High temperatures - above 230 degrees celsius - may cause dry paper to autoignite.
Never leave your heat sources on unattended!

Materials you will need for this project are:
- Plain (white) paper of your choice
- Hot coffee
- Heat gun or blow dryer
- A metal mesh sheet or an oven rack
- One or two tea towels
- A waterproof container

And optional are:
- Lemon juice
- A closeable container
- Dryer sheets and/or potpourri
- A lighter
- Designs to print on your paper
