How to make Piccolo Pete bombs

Every year we make piccolo pete bombs and blow 'em up on the Third of July before our big fireworks deal on the Fourth. We don't really make anything big, just regular Piccolo Pete bombs for fun.

Here's how to make a piccolo Pete bomb:
1) Take a Piccolo Pete and remove the plastic stand on the bottom.
2) Making sure to unwrap the fuse, wrap the Piccolo Pete in 1-2 layers of duct tape. Don't apply too much or else it won't work right.
3) Leave a small opening in the tape at the base of the fuse so that the flame can get inside the powder.
4) Once wrapped, use a hammer to pound on all sides of the Piccolo Pete. This loosens the powder and allows it to explode, not flare.
5) Set it down somewhere in the open, AWAY FROM FLAMMABLE MATERIALS AND PEOPLE, and run. Enjoy the loud bang and smoke.

If you do decide to make these, don't be stupid with it and blow off your arm. If you do, don't blame me for telling you how to do it, blame yourself for holding an ignited bomb. Have fun and be smart about it.
