If you've got a sweet tooth and a unique sense of style, creating your own bracelet out of Starburst candy wrappers is a fun project. This bracelet style can be made from just about any type of waxed candy or gum wrapper, but the bright colors of Starburst wrappers provide a wide range of color combinations. This project can take a great deal of time and patience, which makes it a perfect rainy-day craft.
Carefully remove the wrappers from Starburst candies and collect them. Depending on the size of the bracelet you want to make you will need at least 20 to 30 wrappers.
Smooth the wrappers out so they are easier to work with.
Fold one wrapper by placing it lengthwise in front of you with the colored side of the paper facing downward. Fold the bottom edge up toward the center, and then fold the top edge down into the center so the two edges meet up in the middle.
Fold lengthwise again, so the bottom half meets the top half. Smooth out the crease.
Line up the edges and fold the wrapper lengthwise one more time, smoothing a sharp crease along the back.
Fold the rectangle in half, creating a "V" shape. Open the "V" and fold each end inward to meet with the crease. When properly folded you will have a "V" shape half the size of the original "V."
Repeat the folding process with about 25 Starburst wrappers and set them aside so they are ready to go when you start piecing your bracelet together.
Grab two pre-folded wrappers and lay the folded end of the "V" over the index finger on your left hand. Pinch the second wrapper between your thumb and index finger on your right hand.
Insert the folded ends of the right-hand "V" between the layers of folded ends on the left-hand "V," interlocking them together. Push the ends all the way through and slide the papers together, creating a larger "V."
Hold the new "V" upright and insert the folded ends of the third candy wrapper between the layers of folded ends on the right-hand side of the "V," and gently push the wrapper down.
Insert the next wrapper, and continue piecing the wrappers together until your chain is long enough to wear as a bracelet.
Close the bracelet off by unfolding one of the small "Vs." Insert the ends into the slots on the opposite end of the bracelet, and bring them back up and around to tuck them in.
