How To: mobile CAC for iphone

To use a mobile CAC reader, the first thing you'll need to do is install the Sub Rosa app.

Your phone should automatically prompt you when you insert the card reader, but if it doesn't, just go to the app store and search for Sub Rosa.

Once it's downloaded, open it up to load your certificates.

You can skip registration, import bookmarks if you choose, and select okay to dismiss the popup if it appears.

Then open the USAF Connect app and allow it to open Sub Rosa. Tap the CAC button on the bottom row. To see if it works, let's go to DTS.

For most things, you'll choose the identity certificate. For things that require an email certificate, choose email signing. Input your pin, and you're good to go.

Another important not: Sub Rosa comes with a secure browser, so if you're having trouble with a site in the USAF Connect app, try opening it directly in Sub Rosa through the Air Force Portal.
