There are 4 different steps that you have to follow in the same order.
1- Get your fingerprints taken.
2- Request your record.
3- Receive your Result from the Channeler.
4- Obtain the apostille from the US State Department.

(1st) Get your fingerprints taken.

*Get your fingerprint taken by a professional technician to avoid the rejection of your request.

(2nd) Request your record.
You have 2 options.

1) Contact the FBI Directly.

*The Cost is $18.00 per request.
*Turnaround time: 3-6 weeks.
*(Not Recommended).

2) Contact the FBI Approved Channeler.

*The FBI has assigned 13 agencies to process the FBI Background Checks, on behalf of its clients,
*The Cost is $40.00 to $60.00,
*Turnaround Time is 1 to 5 Business days.

(3rd) Receive your Result from the Channeler.

*Request your result in PDF format.
*It will shorten the mailing time, specially if you’re going to Apostille your record.

(4th) Apostille from the US State Department.

*The costs is $8.00 per request,
*Turnaround time is 3 business days.
