How to part hair for box braids, Senegalese twists & locs. If attempting to do u-parting isn’t cutting it, this hair parting method is for you. My how to parting tutorial can pretty much work for any protective style you want to create: Box Braids, DIY Senegalese twists, Marley Twists, passion twists, etc. I used the rubber band method to show how I parted my hair for my twists to keep the hair organized and separated before starting on my Senegalese twists (I prefer to twist w/o rubber bands at the root).
