Description from the creator

How to pasteurize milk at home. Pasteurising raw milk at home (raw just means unpasturised milk) is essential if you want to avoid the chances of falling very ill. We have had lots of requests for a video on this, I did say that I would put instructions on the in Bulgaria web site when we were making goats cheese. It is reasonably easy to do, you just need a heat source, a temperature probe and some raw milk ready for pasteurisation at home. Simply bring the temperature of the milk up to 65 degrees Celsius and maintain this temperature for 30 minutes. There are other ways to do it, in much less time, but we have found that home pasteurising is most easily controlled using this 30 minute method. If you want to know any more little bits and pieces about self sufficiency, or being self sufficient in Bulgaria just look at the web site www.inbulgaria.co.uk contact us from there if you get stuck, good luck!
