Description from the creator

How To Photograph Fireworks - Part 1 is all about preparation. The key to knowing how to photograph fireworks is to plan ahead and get your camera set up before the fireworks begin. Now there's no 'right' setting for fireworks, it depends on how big and bright they are, how dark the night is and other things too. But it's best to have a starting point.

There's a couple of things you'll need to photograph fireworks. A very sturdy tripod to keep the camera still because you'll be using long slow manual exposure photographycourses.biz/manual_exposure.html. And a cable release so you don't have to touch the camera when you release the shutter.

Have a rage of focal lengths with you. You'll need to be wide if you're close to the display and longer if you're further away.
