Form of the Song

"Maxwell's Silver Hammer" is a song from
The Beatles 1969 album release, Abbey Road. The song was written and recorded by Paul McCartney. The recording process for this song was part of the end of the Beatles, as Lennon had become disgruntled with some of McCartney's material, and the amount of time and money spent to record a song that never became a single added tension as well. The Beatles would do one more studio album in the following year before disbanding.

The song has a bouncy, pop sound, originally recorded using piano and synthesizers, but the chords translate to guitar. The guitar uses fairly simple chords, and the structure of song is very simplistic. Follow along with the video to learn the different chord progressions and song form.

"Maxwell's Silver Hammer" uses the following song form:

* Verse 1
* Pre-chorus
* Chorus
* Verse 2
* Pre-chorus
* Chorus
* Interlude
* Verse 3
* Pre-chorus
* Chorus
* Outro
