This video shows how to get the surge requirements from two different refrigerators. It will also show the amp draw, and wattage draw after the initial startup. This information can then be used to size an inverter or a generator.

Over a 24 hour period the black fridge used 1.12 kwh according to the kill a watt, that's about 47 watts an hour over the 24 hr period. The white fridge in the basement used 1.94 kwh, about 81 watts an hour over 24 hr period.

The ways you can power the inverter are by using batteries, or even your vehicle, or solar.
