Description from the creator

Hi guys, I'm keeping on this preserving kick and sharing another video. This one is all about basil. I wanted to share how I preserved some basil this year. I couldn't let another season doing nothing with my basil. Last year we had some beautiful plants and I always regretted not doing something with it. The key is getting to your basil before it gets too cold. It really does change the flavor.

The first step is harvesting what you want to preserve. If it has basil flowers, great!! You can try them and harvest them after they dry. But for now to preserve your basil in oil you will want to pluck off all the basil leaves, then wash and dry. Then chop your basil and measure out basil in each ice cube tray and then fill it up with olive oil. Then place them in the freezer and once frozen you can store in a zip lock baggie. You'll see after you watch this video.
