How to Protect Your Autistic Child: Window Alarm
Dealing With an Autistic Behavior, such as Running Away can be very difficult. It is a common behavior among Autistic children. If your kids are doing this then we have a simple solution for you! All you need is a window alarm for your child's window. They are cheap and you can find them in many places; we found ours at a local home electronic store.
I wanted to do a sample video showing all health care providers, personal care workers, CNA's or daycares that have larger children with special needs.
If your kid runs away or wanders away from your home it can be very stressful. They can find themselves in many difficult situations that can even threaten their lives. Many children with special needs do this - so we see that it is very important to handle. Remember to re-set the alarm when it does go off!
This video starts out by showing you an example of my child, Curtis running away. We then go to show you how to install a window alarm. It is a simple an easy fix, and it can even mean saving your child with Autism from harm. Using this little piece of adaptive equipment can prove to be invaluable. You can even do it yourself! (DIY)
