Description from the creator

In this video we'll show you how to fix a rail ding on a painted epoxy standup paddleboard (SUP) or surfboard.

In this case we have a shallow ding with broken and cracked fiberglass, which is a pretty straightforward repair. The steps to do this kind of repair on a SUP or surfboard are:

1. Assess the damage
2. Mask off around damaged area and sand the cracked area away feathering out from the crack to the good areas.
3. Cut fiberglass patches to fill back the sanded out area, cut enough to slightly overfill the repair area
4. Apply epoxy resin and the fiberglass patches to the repair area
5. After the epoxy cures sand the repair fair, sand to 220 grit to prepare for paint.
6. Spray paint. If you get runs allow to cure and sand with 220 (wet usually works better)
7. Color sand to blend area with scotchbrite ultrafine pad and water and buff using surfboard polish #2
