How to remove a Sony radio from a Ford & use the serial number for PIN code unlock

This video shows how you can use 4 metal removal keys to release the radio/CD player unit from the car. You'll find the keys are about £1.50 on sites like Amazon [amzn.to/2DaP656] and eBay.

Slot all 4 keys in with the flat edge facing the outside of the radio unit. When they're all in, give it a pull and the radio will come out. They keys release when you press the spring-loaded clip on the side.

This is a website which will decode any serial numbers beginning with M for free.. if you're willing to wait 20 minutes. I'd already entered the wrong code 3 times, so the radio was already making me wait 30 minutes for the next try :D

If you've got a V serial number you'll have to try here [chrisjuby.com/radiocodes/], ask on a forum like [freefordradiocode.co.uk/forum/viewforum.php?f=2], or look on eBay & hopefully you'll find a reputable unlocker, the one I had my eye on before I found I had an M serial, was only charging £1 and had a high eBay rating.
