If you're looking for a way to remove paint from a wood deck, this is the tutorial for you! I attempted to remove the paint from my wood deck with paint strip, however there were several layers of paint and it would've taken a LOT of paint stripper to remove the paint from the wood.

So I decided to use a heat gun to remove the paint from the wood. I hold the heat gun fairly close to the paint with a moving motion to heat up the paint and I use a metal scraper to be able to scrap off the paint from the wood.

Please be VERY CAREFUL with the heat gun as it could burn the paint or could start a FIRE! Work slowly and carefully to be able to remove the paint from the wood.

After removing the paint from the wood deck I will be sanding the wood and taking off the remaining paint that is too close to the siding with paint stripper and a sander. Then I will be treating the wood and most likely repainting my wood deck because I cannot stain the wood at its current condition. Best of luck removing paint from your wood deck!
